Building community: Over the past couple of years, Elaine has built travel communities in San Diego that have hundreds of members with monthly gatherings.
The Travel Well Meetup is dedicated to helping travelers explore the world often and well. Monthly gatherings focus on tips, feature expert travelers and authors at venues around San Diego county.

As the San Diego Meet, Plan, Go host she arranges bi-monthly events and set up the “Stop Dreaming, Start Planning” evening seminar in October 2012, with 7 expert bloggers, authors and travel experts as well as local and international sponsors.
Elaine is co-host of Travel Massive San Diego, one of 28 world wide chapters, connecting local travel industry professionals and travel writers / bloggers. Always free and at various San Diego venues.
Travel: Elaine has traveled the world in dozens of different vehicles and grew up taking road trips around the North American continent. An early six month sabbatical to back pack the world, whetted her appetite for living and working in different regions. She’s lived along the west coast of North America with years in Southeast Alaska, Seattle, Portland, Long Beach and San Diego is her family’s home port now. Tropical water is her second love and she scuba dives every chance she can – the cool trenches off Point Loma, San Diego, to Shark dives in Fiji and Mexico, with more destinations to come.
